SUMMER CAMP SERIES FAQs

  • Nope! They can be curious, uninterested the first day, excited to come, etc. This camp is all about initial learning and discovery. A way for you or your child to figure out if this is something that you think is really really cool that you may want to do or if you’d rather build rockets instead.

  • Each camp is 5 days long and runs from 8am - 6pm. The family and friends exhibit takes place on Day 6, the Saturday at the end of the week.

    The Broadcast & Live Streaming camp will not operate on Juneteenth and the program will begin on Tuesday of that week and conclude on Saturday. The family and friends exhibit will take place on Sunday, June 25th.

  • The Family & Friends Exhibition is the finale of each series of the summer camp. Participants will present their group project to invited friends and family.

    Admission is free of charge and light refreshments will be available for purchase.

    The exhibitions will begin at 3pm (doors at 2pm) and last about 90 minutes. You will need to drop your child off at approximately 8am for the event set up.

  • Unfortunately no. They must be between the ages of 11-17 for the duration of their time at the camp.

  • Early drop-off begins at 6:30am.

    Late pickup ends at 7:00pm.

    There is an additional $150/week for early drop off and $100/week for late pickup.

  • Yes, tuition includes a meal plan which includes breakfast and lunch each day. We also have refreshments available throughout the day.

    However, seconds and thirds are limited, so if your child eats more than the average, you may want to consider sending them with additional snacks and food options.

  • Yes and no. Some of the camps will have off--site field trips and some will have additional exhibits that come to the campsite that will qualify as a field trip.

    For any off site field trips, The Production Rockstar Academy contracts with a licensed, bonded and insured charter bus company.

  • Campers must wear the Media & Production Summer Camp Series T-shirt. They must be purchased during the registration process. Campers will receive 2 shirts for $50. Show blacks must be worn each day, which includes the camp t-shirt.

    Show blacks = black camp t-shirt, black pants or shorts, black socks, black shoes.

    Campers may purchase The Production Rockstar Academy ball caps, sweatsuits and polo shirts and wear them to camp as well.

  • Payment plans are offered in the form of a deposit plus (2) installments. For more details, please proceed to our camp registration platform.

  • Deposits can be reimbursed up to the next payment date. Should your second payment be completed and you still wish to receive a refund, only the second half of the will be refunded unless there is more than until the start of your child’s registered camp start date.

  • The Production Rockstars Summer Camp Series comprises 2 unique sets of staff. The first set of staff is our industry professional instructors who provide professional knowledge and instruction. The second set of staff are our compassionate counselor and caregivers. They are present to service the personal needs of your children. Assist with difficult days, ensure everyone gets fed, and that safety, fun, and feeling good are a top priority every day.

    Each staff member must undergo a background check and all instructors and staff members have been trained on our sexual misconduct and child safety and welfare protocols.

  • The Production Rockstar Academy aims to be an ivy-league-esque institution of higher learning for media and production. This means that we must provide state-of-the-art technology and working professionals to offer these training and programs. To do so, and not just be a surface level school, but rather provide the hands-on training and tools needed to dive deep into a higher level of understanding, we must charge a premium.

    This investment however will expand your child's mind, knowledge and network. Even if they choose a different path in life, the exposure, critical thinking skills, and relationships will last a lifetime!

  • All staff, host, instructors, and assistants are required to undergo criminal background checks. Any person with a felony conviction or a misdemeanor conviction(s) for crimes of moral turpitude, crimes against women and/children or violence will not be permitted to teach at or for The Production Rockstar Academy. TPRA takes an all or nothing approach to these decisions and individual circumstances are not considered.
